Islay Scotch

Whiskeys from the island of Islay (pronounced Eye-luh; off the Southern coast of Scotland) are known for big flavor and complexity. Often referred to as “peat monsters”, they feature the strong smokey taste that comes from burning peat (aka young coal) to roast the barley, along with a signature saltiness – think campfire by the sea.
